Ulverston Parish - Distinctives

We belong firmly within the Anglican tradition, holding fast to the historical credal statements. We enjoy close fellowship with Christians from many Denominations who similarly uphold the Trinitarian Faith, authority of the Bible and the priority of evangelism.

The Good News, in a nutshell..

Illustration of the gap between Man and God God created man, and gave him full and eternal life. However, man chose to disobey God, resulting in separation from God. We may try to bridge this gap in various ways such as good works, going to church etc, but the problem remains. Man by his own efforts cannot provide the remedy.
Romans ch.3, v.23: Romans ch.6: v.23

The great news is that God has provided the answer. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for our sins. We now have a sure way back to God and need not be afraid of death or judgement any longer - in fact as Jesus said, we can have 'life to the full' as it was meant to be.
